the only true constant in my life is that i will inevitably get sick right before or directly following finals. and not the "sleep it off- three day" kinda sick, but the kinda sick where you feel shitty for like a month. i thought it was allergies but my throat says otherwise. bummer. I hope I feel better before graduation dress shopping with camilla's grandma on tuesday:)

i feel like cinco de mayo is the most misunderstood holiday it is definitely NOT Mexican independence day which is September 16th as i learned when that man broke in to my apartment drunk on the real Mexican independence day. it is like the day when the people in the southwest announced themselves Mexican Americans... or something. however just like everyone is Irish on St Patty's day the amount of fake Mexicans abounds today in Chicago! also i sat next to a man drinking tequila out of a dunkin donuts coffee cup on the bus:) VIVA MEXICO!

also since i just came up with this brilliant idea right now while typing i think that some serious mix making is in order in correlation to the vibe of the states we will be passing and when we cross state lines we have to have a whole new set of mixes so that every states feels completely different!!!

so i think dolly goes on my south dakota mix as she is a gentle soul and belongs in quiet South Dakota with Mount Rushmore and the fundamentalist mormon temple of Pringle South Dakota (prime example of a pretentious documentary fact) i have some more antler enthusiast, gun totting , raised truck inspired jams in mind for Montana
