Christmas is not Christmas without you

So. i am pretty sure my family is distantly related to ebenezer scrooge.

Every year we wait until the last minute to do christmas-y things, which for a while i thought was just my parents respecting my birthday and waiting until after it to respect Jesus's. However with my mother and i left to our own devices this year i realized christmas might not happen which was close to heartbreaking

my father got home from Italy today and after mine and my mother's failed attempts to get a tree (on dec. 21st, who knew that every tree lot closed down on the 21st exactly?!) christmas looked like it would be happening in a barren living room with no pine smell, no needles and no stockings because who hangs up stockings with no tree?

Anyways..... moral of the story is my parents are like the arch angel gabriel:D

and found the lone tree that exists in all of California on the way home from the airport at a gas station in Vallejo

and it is perfect!

why do scary movies that seem like a joke and are not scary at all, seem a billion times scarier when you leave the theatre?!?!

tonight danny and i went to the 4$ movie theatre and saw paranormal activity which was not scary and completely laughable while watching it. HOWEVER upon leaving the theatre and walking home suddenly everything that made noise was terrifying and now i am scared something invisible is going to rustle my sheets around while i am sleeping or drag me out of bed by my foot!!! ! !!!

we encored the movie with "the bad seed" a less scary,scary movie to ease my nerves however it did not help and now i am scared of little girls and invisible demons!

how will i ever be able to sleep? and why does my room have so many windows with scratchy branches outside of them?!

On Death and Dyeing

due to my death-bed quality of living lately i have had to postpone all of my finals.

which leaves me with two days and four finals+portfolio review.

tomorrow is the beg. of two stressful days!!!

and then i leave really early on wed. for Minnesota where my Aunts will let me sleep in and do nothing more than help garden, walk around town, and eat delicious things

NEVER been more miserable.

i woke up at 10:30 because i was hot from a fever and then couldnt go back to sleep because of the overwhelming sense of guilt i feel for putting of my buddhist art paper until the day before it was due so now:

i am sitting at new wave coffee because we dont get internet today

with achy legs and feet from wearing rad heels last night

with a coffee sitting in front of me that could not look less appetizing as my whole being is burning up

and now they are playing M.IA. kill me now my head is going to explode

so far i have read a half of an article and want to die

also on a sadder note i toured a tannery for my costume crafts class and bought a bunch of leather for my leather bag i am making and some more for other projects. the tannery was a little bit like walking through Upton Sinclair's "the jungle" however i got to see what ralph by ralph lauren's spring shoe collection looks like color wise in leather hides and let me tell you BARF-a-rama i also saw timberland and frye's leather for their new shoes next season which was way cool. i purchased grey horse leather and black bison leather for my alexander wang knockoff bag:D
