Ponytails

There were an abundance of ponytail adorned men on my flight . i am not sure whether they are coming from or going to San Francisco and/or Chicago, but if my ringlet-clad ponytail wearing photography teacher is any indication i am gonna say they reside in Chicago. 

here's what i have learned: in the late 1980's a short ponytail was seen as edgy,"in your face" look for men who wanted to stand out from the crowd while keeping most of their hair flat and functional.men who wear their hair long now frequently tie back into a ponytail , but avoid the top or side of the head variants.
